Somatic Sound Immersion Offerings

Because there is such an opportunity to use both modalities together, I use Sound Therapy, as an integration tool in Relational Somatic Therapy sessions as well as, small group workshops connecting sound and body in a mindfulness-based approach.
— Sarah McGlynn

Solo/Couple Sound Immersion

  • For both solo and couple sound immersions, I use a combination of auditory looping, specific frequency emitting instruments, and my voice to create a personalized soundscape that can help support and calm the nervous system through the somatic lens of listening and body awareness.

It is important to note that the term "couple" in this instance does not signify a romantic relationship and is open to any relationship form.

  • Before the session, we will determine the focus of the immersion, and depending on that, clients may learn a visualization or a breath technique which they can utilize during and after the immersion.

In couples sessions, sound therapy can be used to help both partners relax, connect, and experience a sense of harmony together through shared auditory experiences. This can enhance communication, deepen emotional connections, and promote relaxation within the relationship.

Clients will receive this service on a massage table with soft blankets and pillows and are advised to wear comfortable clothing.

The Resonant Voice

  • A 7-Week (bi-weekly) Somatic Vocal Alchemy Series through The Resonance Method™

Your voice is a reflection of how safety, truth, and emotion live in the body.
Resonant Voice IS NOT a singing workshop—it’s an exploration of embodied voice: how tone, breath, and resonance reveal your boundaries, your needs, and your capacity to be heard.

Through Somatic Therapy tools, NLP scripting, nervous system literacy, and guided sound practices, we work with the body as an instrument of connection rather than performance. This series invites you into vocal alchemy—exploring your voice using tone before words, gentle sound practices, and body-led pacing to repattern old messaging and fear, rebuild boundaries, and rediscover a voice that feels safe to inhabit.

At the heart of our work is H-U-M:
    Honest. Unperformed. Mine.
A small, simple sound that helps the nervous system soften, orient, and return to its own truth—not performance.

A space to find coherence between voice and self—to speak, hum, or sound from grounded presence.

    • Rebuild safety with warm, regulated tone
      (rather than performative expression)

    • Write and speak sovereignty scripts for
      real-life boundaries

    • Differentiate a fawned “yes” from an
authentic Yes / No / Not yet

    • Use sound as co-regulation, grounding,
      and creative expression

    • Integrate intuitive voicework without
      overwhelm

    • Folks new to somatic voicework

    • Therapists, facilitators, and helpers seeking new tools

Family Sound Immersions & Nervous System Literacy Pods

  • Cultivating sound, safety, and shared nervous system literacy for families.

Family Sound Immersions are designed as spaces where parents and children can slow down together and experience regulation as a shared field.

Developmental research and nervous system science remind us that children’s self-regulation develops gradually. Before they can regulate on their own, children borrow stability from the adults around them. As Dr. Stephen Porges (Polyvagal Theory) explains, a child’s nervous system is continually shaped by cues of safety — often transmitted not through words, but through the tone of voice, facial expression, and state of the caregiver. Daniel Siegel’s work in The Developing Mind echoes this: a parent’s nervous system becomes the child’s “external regulator,” scaffolding their ability to return to calm until their own pathways are strong enough to do so independently.

These immersions intentionally work with that natural design. The shared field of sound and resonance in the room becomes a resource for the whole family. Parents and children experience regulation together, while also engaging in new experiences that deepen their sense of connection. Alongside the direct experience, families begin to build nervous system literacy — a common language and awareness that supports safety, co-regulation, and communication at home.

  • Each immersion weaves together:

    • Playful sound exploration: children have time to gently explore instruments before the immersion begins

    • Somatic awareness practices: accessible cues for both parents and children to feel grounded and connected

    • Shared experiences of rest and resonance: Immersive soundscapes that support co-regulation as a family system

    • Integration tools and shared language: practical ways to bring somatic and nervous system literacy into daily family life

What children receive in this context is more than play — it is a felt sense of safety beyond words, something they can carry back into their daily lives, shaping their developing nervous systems. Parents, in turn, receive both regulation for themselves and new pathways of connection with their children.
